Panasonic Taiwan has developed a portable karaoke microphone with CMC, which will provids software for the equipment. Embedded with Panasonic Taiwan's SD card and Internet connectivity for downloading songs, the microphone provides five singing modes, male/female auto accompaniment, and choir functionality. Besides the preinstalled 50 songs, the microphone has sufficient capacity for another 100 songs downloaded from Internet. Panasonic expects to seize 25% of the Taiwanese karaoke machine market and will also target the Japanese market. Annual shipment volume is expected to be over 80,000 units.
